"Jan Mason is a brilliant teacher who continues to work professionally directing stage productions, presenting at conferences, and publishing. She strives to instill a sense of craft in her students, demands rigorous preparation and rehearsal, and recognizes the importance of collaborative learning. Professor Mason’s students are effusive in praising her for creating a safe and supportive environment where they can step out of their comfort zone in an atmosphere of trust and respect."    -- EIT Committee

Class Observation - Improv: "Her students were engaged and enthusiastic, taking responsibility for their own learning. Her style was encouraging and motivating. Her class was akin to sitting in a concert hall watching a maestro coax excellence from a great philharmonic orchestra."    -- EIT Committee
